I, Deirdre Costello (BSc, MSc), am an Irish nutritionist and Registered Dietitian (DT30985). I am an experienced specialist dietitian registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have years of experience working privately and publicly in the UK national health service (NHS) including a world renowned hospital in London.

I’m a dietitian with a passion for helping people feel better from the inside out. Gut Grá means “gut love” — a name inspired by my Irish roots and deep belief in caring for our bodies with compassion. Grá is the Irish word for love, and this brand is my way of encouraging people to show more love to their gut — because so much of our health begins there.

I grew up on an organic farm in rural Ireland, surrounded by animals, open fields, and nature’s rhythms. That upbringing shaped my holistic view of health — one where our gut, brain, lifestyle, and the environment are all connected.

I am a strong advocate for my clients and ensure that their voice is heard. I am trained in advanced modes of communication including motivational interviewing and health coaching.
